The last row is not directly comparable to the others: it is a production package with an LED component rather than a wall rental on its own. It is included because it is the only published starting price from a vendor holding a local-pack position on this query.

Why the range is this wide

Tile count is the price. LED walls are modular. A wall is quoted by how many tiles it takes to reach the dimensions you want, which is why a per-tile figure around $800 and a whole-wall figure around $10,000 are the same pricing model expressed two ways. Work out your dimensions before you call and the quotes become comparable.

Pixel pitch changes the tile. Pitch is the distance between LEDs, and it sets how close an audience can sit before the image breaks up. A tighter pitch costs more per tile. A wall behind a keynote stage that the front row sits ten feet from needs a different tile than one at the back of a trade-show hall.

Processing, rigging and an operator are separate. A wall needs a video processor to drive it, structure or ground support to hold it, and usually someone to run it. Published headline rates do not consistently include these. This is the single most common reason two quotes for the same wall differ by thousands.

Indoor versus outdoor. Outdoor walls need higher brightness and weather rating, and cost more per tile.

What to ask before comparing two quotes

Ask for the tile count and pitch, not just the dimensions. Ask whether processing and ground support are in the number. Ask whether an operator is included and for how many hours. Ask what happens to the rate if load-in is the night before rather than the morning of.

Two vendors quoting "a 25 by 10 wall" can be quoting genuinely different products, and none of that is visible in the headline figure.

Who rents LED walls in San Francisco

The vendors holding the local pack on this query are WestWave AV, San Francisco Sound Rentals and Fog City Audio Visual. Several national suppliers also rank organically for the city, including specialists carrying large panel inventories.

Of the local-pack vendors, only WestWave publishes any starting price. That is normal for this market rather than unusual, and it is why price transparency is weighted higher on our LED wall ranking than on our conference AV ranking.
