Comparison
Luma Creative vs LV Productions
Both publish a starting price, which almost nobody in San Francisco video production does. Luma Creative places first in our ranking and LV Productions third, separated mainly by review depth and by how much each publishes about its scope. LV's published price is for aerial videography specifically, which is a narrower commitment than Luma's live-streaming figure.

The prices are not comparable, and that is the point
Luma Creative publishes from $2,500 for live event streaming. LV Productions publishes from $2,000 for aerial videography. Both score full marks on price transparency, because the dimension asks whether a buyer can see a number before making contact, and both answer yes.
Neither number tells you what a corporate video will cost. They are entry points on two different services. Read them as a signal about how each company handles pricing conversations rather than as quotes, and expect the actual scope conversation to move well away from either figure.
That said, in a market where the overwhelming majority of vendors publish nothing at all, two companies willing to anchor anything in public is a real and small club.
What separates them on the rubric
Review depth. Luma holds 101 reviews to LV's 62, and review depth carries 25 points in this category. Both records are clean — Luma at 98 of 98 five-star on its breakdown, LV at 62 of 62 — so rating quality is a tie and does no work here.
Service depth is the second gap and the larger one proportionally. Luma publishes 244 itemised services against LV's 54. Both are real published lists rather than empty profiles, but the normalisation runs against the category high of 264.
On operational proof they are close: both are claimed, both publish a street address in San Francisco, both carry enough photos. LV drops points only on the on-site services attribute not being set.
Where each one is stronger than the score suggests
LV Productions operates from Jackson Street in the Financial District and publishes aerial videography as a named, priced service. Drone work is a licensing and insurance question as much as a creative one, and a company that prices it publicly is signalling it does this routinely rather than subcontracting when asked.
Luma's advantage is breadth you can verify in advance. Its 244 published services cover the production chain end to end — concept development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, casting, location scouting, crew, art department, editing, motion graphics, sound design — which is useful when you are not yet sure what the project needs.
Which should you call
Call LV if the project is aerial-led, or if you want a smaller shop in the Financial District and a published rate to start from.
Call Luma if you want the deepest public record in the category and published scope you can read before the first conversation.
The 31-point rubric gap is mostly review volume and published-list length. It is not 31 points of capability difference.
